1. Scope of Work
A1 General Contracting agrees to perform the services described in your individual project proposal or contract. Any changes to the scope of work—whether adding a new garage build or modifying siding materials—must be agreed upon in writing. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality construction results in Moline, IL, following all local building codes.
2. Payments and Estimates
Estimates: All estimates provided for roofing, gutters, or other services are valid for the period stated on the quote.
Payments: Payment schedules will be outlined in your specific project contract. Failure to make timely payments may result in a work stoppage.
Insurance Claims: If your project involves an insurance claim, the homeowner is responsible for ensuring A1 General Contracting receives payments issued by the insurance carrier for the work performed.
3. Homeowner Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth construction process, the homeowner must:
Provide clear access to the work site (e.g., driveway access for roofing materials).
Ensure all necessary permits (if not being handled by the contractor) are in place.
Keep children and pets away from active construction zones for safety.
4. Cancellations and Delays
A1 General Contracting strives to meet all deadlines. However, we are not liable for delays caused by weather (such as rain preventing siding installation), supply chain shortages, or unforeseen structural issues discovered during the construction process.
5. Warranty and Liability
We stand by our craftsmanship. Specific warranty details for roofing materials or labor on gutters and shed construction will be provided in your project-specific contract. A1 General Contracting is fully insured, providing peace of mind for every homeowner we serve in Moline.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from our general contractor services will be handled within the jurisdiction of Rock Island County.
